Character's Personal History:
Born to Lord Tomas Baratheon and his wife, Sienna Fowler, it was pretty clear from early on that Triss would one day inherit the Stormlands instead of her younger brothers - partly due to her father's indubitable favouritism, partly due to the strong dornish influence her mother imposed on him.
At eight, her parents - albeit reluctantly in Lord Tomas' case - sent her to be fostered at Skyreach. A few years later, she was joined by Princess Amelia, who was occasionally visited by her brother, the heir to Dorne. Triss got along brilliantly with both, having numerous trysts with them in her teenage years. It was also at Skyreach that she was first acquainted with push knives and the Fowlers' handsome young maester, an expert on all sorts of herbs and draughts.
She returned to Storm's End at 16. Three years and a vast number of rejected suitors later, Lord Baratheon finally agreed to a betrothal between Triss and Lord Stark's second son, Rickard. The engagement, however, was broken off after the heir to Winterfell passed away. Lords Baratheon and Stark both agreed that uniting two realms that didn't share a border would have been... problematic.
A couple of years after that, Triss was betrothed to the recently widowed Lord Brandon Buckler, a skilled and handsome commander of impeccable reputation, even if the circumstances of his late wife's death had been peculiar. Triss didn't much care for the match; she took the impending marriage to the strict Lord Buckler as a threat to the liberties she was used to. As luck or chance would have it, she encountered Ser Dustin Royce at Lord Connington's tourney a mere month before her wedding. Their affair pretty much an open secret, Triss saw in it a way to get rid of the unwanted Lord Buckler. An unfortunate jousting accident later, it became quite clear that Ser Dustin was indeed a keeper. This particular alliance was far more beneficial and approved by Lord Baratheon fairly soon.
They presently have three children, and according to their maester, are highly unlikely to ever have more as the last birth had ended with severe complications.
Character's Physical Description:
Tall, dark and incredibly attractive, Triss takes after her Martell grandmother rather than the Baratheons or the fair-headed Fowlers.
